About the Nixon Library

Nixon’s entire 50-year career, complete with all its highs and lows, is portrayed with stark honesty at the newly renovated, wholly enriched Nixon Library.

Watch history come to life before your eyes and dig deep into the details of one of the most thought-provoking Presidencies in American history! While Richard Nixon’s name is synonymous with the Watergate scandal, his lengthy career in public service encompasses so much more. With mystery shrouding parts of his somewhat controversial time in office, less attention is given to his astounding achievements. At the Richard Nixon Presidential Library, you get the whole story.

Not only will you be able to hear the entire “smoking gun” audio recording of the Watergate cover-up, you’ll also discover how Nixon created the Environmental Protection Agency and signed Title IX, the groundbreaking legislation that prohibits gender discrimination in federally-funded sports programs. Learn about Nixon’s groundbreaking trip to the People’s Republic of China in 1972, which opened up diplomatic relations between the countries, and how he negotiated the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty with the Soviet Union.
